This years National Trails Day Event- Hike/Ride will be June 3, 2023– We are hoping to do a 5k run/walk also, but we need volunteers to pull this off. Contact us if you’d like to help
The June solstice (summer solstice) is at 7:57 am on Wednesday, June 21, 2023. Join us for a cowboy breakfast and Summer Solstice Celebration welcoming the sunrise of 5:42AM on June 21st, 2023. Watch the sun rise and focus it’s light this one day only on an ancient ceremonial spot on a boulder on former Mountain Cahuilla land in Anza. The summer solstice is the day of the year with the longest light. It is a day with spiritual significance for many people and is a reminder to celebrate Anza’s varied cultures. This is a joint fundraising event between AATT and La Puerta Foundation of Cary Ranch. Cary Ranch is private property and a private residence so an RSVP is a must, and space will be limited to 30. All ages are welcome. Guided tour of the ranch, see the protected petroglyphs, and hike in the footsteps of Juan Bautista de Anza after breakfast.

RECREATIONAL MAP PROJECT: Anza Area Trail Town (AATT) is proud to announce that they are undertaking the project to create a foldable paper map which will cover the Anza Valley. The primary focus will be hiking trails and local attractions. It has been over 15 years since the last time a regional Anza map was published. AATT recognizes the need for a paper map that can be picked up at local eateries, realtors, fuel stations and attractions, as well as other retail local businesses throughout Anza and Aguanga.
AATT, a 501(c)3 nonprofit promotes hiking, riding and recreating Anza and Aguanga trails. Hiking trails benefit the community as it brings in retail revenue and increases property values.
Business card size ad spaces are sold to fund the cost of printing and distribution. The ads will frame the map on one side and the reverse side will feature trail education and Anza highlights. Local businesses are encouraged to participate as 10,000 maps will be printed and distributed. . A digital map version will be accessed on the organization’s website anzaareatrailtown.com as well as advertisers links.
